The 2022 walk-up sale event
is going to be bigger & better than ever!
While our pre-order sale has closed, you still have a chance to be a part of this years sales event. Our Native Plant Sale Walk-Up Event will take place the weekend before Earth Day!
If you have pre-ordered plants from us you can come shop the sale while you pick up your plants on April 15th (9 am to 4 pm) or April 16th (10 am to 2 pm). The walk-up sale event will be open to the public on April 16th only.
We will have an abundance of additional native plants available for purchase during this sales event, as well as some added value items, and we will be hosting local artists and vendors that we believe help us celebrate native plants (see details below).

Vendors and Artists
This year we are honored to be hosting the following local vendors/artists/artisans. We want to express our deep gratitude to them for being part of this important day and for the work they do in our communities.
Rose Island Farm is an Indigenous family-owned farm in southeast Tacoma. They will be joining us to offer their locally-grown and indigenous-created herbal tinctures, teas, salves, and supports.
Paige Pettibon is a community artist based in Tacoma, WA working with a multitude of mediums including acrylic painting, fiber arts, beadwork, digital design, and other media. Her work is influenced by her multicultural background of Black, White, and Salish (from the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes).
Natural Rainwater is run by Dan Borba, environmental educator and rain water harvester. They will be joining us to sell their rain barrels, kits and accessories.
Woodbrook Native Plant Nursery is located in beautiful Gig Harbor, Washington where they have been growing and supplying native plants to landscapers, designers and homeowners throughout the Pacific Northwest since 1991.
Bats Northwest is a nonprofit organization formed in 1996 by scientists, educators, and interested lay people to help protect Pacific Northwest bat populations through education and research. In addition to their educational resources they will also be offering bat houses for sale.
MycoUprrhizal has been in operation since June 2016 in the Olympia, WA area. They are devoted to providing fungi, mushroom kits, and powerful extracts to people for personal enjoyment, and wellbeing. MycoUprrhizal are committed to education and access, and as such provide workshops, installations, and consultations in the area.
Native Meadow Seed Mix

In collaboration with the Center for Natural Lands Management we are offering two unique seed mix packets, an annual and perennial blend, of Pacific North West native meadow wildflowers. Please visit our Seed Mix page to learn more.

Wild Salal Berry Spread
|
We will be selling jars of Wild Salal Berry Spread by Canopy & Understory whose forager team is comprised of rural residents in the Olympic Peninsula who work in the forestry industry. In describing their impact they state,
"Our motivation in creating our Wild Salal Berry Spreads is to call attention to all of the vital parts of a forest; soil, flowers, shrubs, hardwoods, and the conifers of the overstory. We believe forest management should consider all the essential components of functioning forests, not just the trees that produce good lumber. Our forests do so much more. Forests store carbon, capture rain, make soil, purify air and water, and provide us with places to hunt, fish, forage, and to simply be restored. By buying this product, and by getting out into the woods to forage, respectful of the role salal plays both ecologically and culturally, you become part of the web that connects all life in the forest." We will be selling a limited quantity of both the Wild Salal Berry Spread and the Wild Salal Berry and Blueberry Spread for $12 each. Sitka Sprucetip Jelly & Salmonberry Jam

Simple Pleasures of Alaska is a family-owned and operated business in the beautiful temperate rainforest of Southeast Alaska. They harvest from the abundance of wild berries in their area and turn them into jams and jellies. Each berry is handpicked, and each jar is hand-poured. The flavors and colors come directly from the berries and flowers from which they are harvested, with nothing artificial added.
The Sitka Spruce Tips, which was are a great source of vitamin C, are harvested from new growth on the Sitka Spruce tree each year in late May. Inspired by the flavors of Sprucetip Tea, Simple Pleasures created this unique jelly. Salmonberries grow abundant in Southeast Alaska and the crew at Simple Pleasures spends an intense, and delicious, three week period every year wild harvesting the berries and preparing them into a jam that will pair perfectly on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. While we were unable to track down a more local source for these jams we are confident that your tastebuds won’t no the difference when tasting the flavors of these plants that grow native in both locales. |

Potted Plants
We will be offering the following plants in one gallon pots during our walk-up sale. There will be 2 to 4 plants contained within each pot. Some plants will be dormant at the time of purchase making the pot appear empty, but trust us, healthy living root systems are present below the soils surface.
